Slippers, Kenzo – at Abbaye de Chaalis, France / Style and Photography: Isaac Pérez Solano
If you are in this page it’s because you have had the courage to do so.
Because you agree on the idea behind these Kenzo slippers: they are not of some kind of formal beauty, but of exclusive functionality and excitement –like Gego used to think about poems (or was it about books? or words, even?) They do not have an aerodynamic sole or are made out of a fabric designed for the foot to breathe as it should. However, it may also have been to have an explanation about this selection.
The truth is a bit incoherent , yet very romantic –if you want to point out and talk about objectivity in fashion–. Especially with these Kenzo master pieces. It has to do with the subjectivity of feeling, of how it gets carried away, influenced by the early Autumn as in such location (Abbaye de Chaalisand, 45 minutes away from Paris, France). It is just at that very point when reality transforms itself into another expression… a more philosophical one, but equally powerful.
In the search for the comforts accompanied by a bit of normalcy, it is best to let go.
